My nan has been at St Michael’s for a few months now and it has been such a relief for not only her but our family to know she’s now in safe hands surrounded by people to help keep her company and mentally healthy. She’d previously been cared for at home by a previous company but for various reasons we all felt it was time for her to go into full time care in a home. While she and all our family had our apprehensions about this, after adjusting to living at St Michael’s she absolutely loves it and the difference we’ve all seen in her is amazing, she’s far happier now she’s got friends and social interaction from the carers and the activities keep her mentally active. I can’t thank St Michael’s enough for all the hard work and care not only to my nan but to all the residents, we love coming to visit and can’t wait for the next family activity day they put on. My lovely sister Anne has sadly passed away but she was given exceptional care at St Michael's Care . All the staff are so diligent and friendly and helpful. My mother was in Saint Michael’s for approximately six weeks. I was worried that she would be isolated in her room, only seeing carers at meal times and for assistance. The opposite was true. Her room was positioned near the nurses station so she could see the comings and goings of staff all day long. The carers got to know her well and even came to say goodnight to her after their shifts. Every single member of staff from laundry, catering, maintenance, reception, nurses and carers could not have been nicer. They not only looked after mum but also the family too. Since my father has been at St Michael’s he and the family have been extremely well supported and cared for. From Millie and Bev on reception that always greet you with a smile and a warm welcome to the laundry ladies returning clean clothing. We as family feel supported and he feels safe and comfortable. To us this is invaluable. All of the caring staff go above and beyond especially William who sees to his every need and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you William. My husband has been for at St Michael’s for two weeks after several months in hospital. All of the staff have been extremely professional, kind and supportive, especially Rema, Millie and Bev who made the move into the home for my husband as easy and welcoming as possible. The nursing staff are fully engaged with his complex health conditions, and the care and activities teams make the atmosphere light. Nothing seems too much trouble for this wonderful group of staff. My mum has been in st Michaels nursing home for over 2 weeks what a beautiful clean place .the staff are really lovely and caring , Millie and Lia stick out too me but all the other staff and manager are really lovely they all go above and beyond such a happy caring place . This home has wonderful carer's shame the same cannot be said about the management team they are bias and bullied me for 2 years and interfered with my visits at one point one manager was removed from her post and I was given more visits the treatment from two particular nurses whilst my mother was dying was disgusting one screamed down the corridor "Get her out of there" meaning my mother's room she didn't realise I was behind her another extremely rude nurse was rude to me on phone countess times this place is understaffed doesn't have enough of the basics no tabard for meal time's I would be extremely careful if you are thinking about choosing this place place for a loved one they made the last few months of my mothers lifw hell ! They seem to think they are untoucable we have started legal precedings against this home l would appreciate if Marc the owner remove his lies from my comment mangement BULLIED ME not billed me !
