Monday 9th May 2022 – Congratulations Rema!
We would like to inform you that our Home Manager Mr Ricky Martin will be leaving us on 22nd May 2022 due to personal circumstances. Ricky has tended his resignation within a timescale that has allowed us to recruit a replacement Home Manager, Mrs Rema Sankaran, who most of you will already know from her current role as Clinical Lead at St. Michael’s.
Rema started her career as a nurse in the acute sector, working in both India and the Middle East, before joining St. Michael’s team in 2005. Rema was later promoted to Clinical Lead, responsible for managing our nursing team, along with the clinical governance at St. Michael’s and is respected by local care professionals. We, therefore, feel Rema’s existing knowledge of our residents, staff, and the home over the past 17yrs will prove invaluable in her new role as Home Manager.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Ricky for his contribution to St. Michael’s and know both Ricky and Rema will work together, to ensure a smooth transition over the coming weeks.
There is also lots for our residents to look forward to this Spring, following the Government’s recent “Living with COVID-19” announcement, including celebrations for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, St Michaels Summer Garden Party (more information to follow), a new Spring menu, and other immersive activities, as the weather improves.
