Living well

Friendship and staying active is hugely beneficial for our mental and physical wellbeing, and we offer a whole host of tailored activities and events to keep our residents busy.

  • Activities and companionship: As well as our many activities we also have a beautiful garden where we host events for residents to enjoy. We see our residents as our extended family, and our team love taking the time to get to know every individual and help them find activities they will enjoy.
  • Food and nutrition: What you eat is hugely important to living well in later life so all of our meals are homemade, nutritionally balanced and delicious! Our talented chefs cater for all dietary requirements, with the menus reflecting a balance of residents’ needs and preferences.

Friends and family

We understand the importance of visits from family and
friends, and the many benefits they bring to our residents.

As part of our dynamic risk-based approach to visiting our care home, we offer in-room visits (two people at a time, in line with the current government guidance*), COVID-19 safe family meeting rooms and outdoor socially distant family meeting areas, which all offer ways that relatives can visit their loved ones in person.

Video calls and phone calls are also available if a physical visit isn’t possible, so families can still keep in touch.

Location

St. Michael’s is located in the beautiful seaside location of Westgate-on-sea.

With Westgate Bay and Margate beach only a stone’s throw away, St. Michael’s Residential & Nursing home is perfectly located to offer the tranquillity of the countryside, with the atmospheric buzz of Margate only a short drive away – perfect for a family day out.

Our wonderful community spans across Kent – from Canterbury to Margate, Sandwich, Herne Bay and Broadstairs.

Fees and funding

Our pricing policy is completely transparent so that residents and their families are clear on the costs of residential care from the outset. Our policy is all-inclusive so there are no surprises when it comes to fees, making budgeting more straightforward.

Funding support may be available to you depending on your income, assets and where you live**; our team can advise further on this if required.
