Games, Yoga and Easter Decorating

During the first week of April our residents enjoyed playing games, a relaxing yoga class with Chris, and decorating Easter Wreaths made from wisteria twigs gathered in Cliffsend! 🥰

Vanessa was busy playing tricks on our residents on Saturday – April Fools Day!

She teased the residents that we’d have a therapy elephant visiting in the garden room; she asked them to bring a bucket. As you can see, she didn’t let the residents down; here’s Nellie playing chess much to Ron’s surprise! 🐘

Congratulations Arya!

Arya one of our Registered Nurses was the lucky winner for March`s Golden Moments. She was nominated for always being helpful, understanding and approachable to all staff, residents, families and visitors 🥰

CQC Inspection – Congratulations St Michaels!

St Michaels are absolutely thrilled to inform you that following a unannounced CQC inspection held on Tuesday 21st March 2023 we have been rated overall `GOOD` in all areas! 🥳

Rema has only been our Home Manager for 11 months so to get a `Good` across the board we think is amazing and we are all very proud to work under her leadership, in an amazing home with a brilliant team full of love and support.

Massive congratulations to all the staff and thank you all for your hard work and dedication.. be proud! 🤩

This week our residents joined in with Tai Chi, Easter Bonnet making and enjoyed entertainment by Caroline Moore – A base guitarist & singer!

Easter at St Michaels

We hope you have all had a lovely Easter break. It’s been a busy week here at St Michaels – Vanessa delivered Easter Eggs to all our residents. We enjoyed 1 of our 2 Easter Parties, armchair travel to Morocco, a music session by Tall John and even a Tattoo Afternoon! 🦋🌹
We also celebrated Jane`s birthday, we hope you had a lovely day celebrating with your family & friends 🎂🤩

Happy Birthday Doreen

We hope you have had a lovely day celebrating with all your friends & family! From all the staff and residents here at St Michaels 🎂

Happy Birthday Peter

We are still unsure if you were crying `happy tears` or crying due to the staff`s singing but we hope you enjoy your cake! From all the staff and residents here at St Michaels 🎈

St Michaels Easter Party Number 2

This afternoon our residents enjoyed their second Easter Party.. this time joined by family & friends. We sang along with Jasmine and Doug for the Easter Bunny Jive Show – what a brilliant afternoon! 🥳

Yesterday afternoon we made a cheesecake!

We are looking forward to enjoying a slice with our afternoon tea today!😋

St George`s Day

We hope you all had a lovely weekend celebrating St George`s Day and had as much fun as we did… watching Vanessa & Tieyah dress up. Enjoying scones with strawberry jam & clotted cream and an afternoon quiz 🤓

Women’s Careers Day

Millie our Customer Relations Officer and Nicky one of our Health Care Assistants attended the Women`s Careers Day at Ursuline College today – An event that was organised by the college to inform their students of the different job roles that might be available to them.

Giving the students an insight into the roles within our home, what our job roles entail and what opportunities that could be open to them from going to work within the care sector. Thank you Ursuline for asking us to join you! 🥰

Last week we enjoyed entertainment by Debbie, we had a visit from Widdle & Bella, we got the craft box out to make decorations ready for the coronation next weekend and Marianna brought her Accordion to St Michaels and played for our residents room to room – this means a lot to our residents who do not like to join in, or are unable to join in with our group activities 🥰
