Elf Day
We had a wonderful Elf Day at St Michaels yesterday, topped off by a packed Garden Room to see no less than 40 children from St Saviours School singing Christmas carols.

Pantomime
On Friday our residents enjoyed a `Let it snow` one women pantomime by Cats Pyjamas Productions
Cookery Club
On Monday our residents spent the afternoon making Mince Pies and Jam Tarts..

Christmas Decorations & Entertainment
This week our residents have been busy making snow & salt dough decorations for the home and have also enjoyed entertainment from Tara and Chartfield School Choir – Thank you again!
Pets as Therapy
It was that time again… on Friday we enjoyed another visit from our favourite `Pets as therapy dog` Widdle
Congratulations Simon!
Simon is our Head Chef here at St Michaels and was presented with a Long Service Award Certificate by our Home Manager Rema for being part of our team for 15 YEARS!!

SVP Group
Last week we had a lovely visit from the Youth SVP group at Ursuline College who have been busy making cards (70 in total) for all our residents and staff here at St Michaels
Everyone loves them, thank you!
We look forward to the students from the Youth SVP group visiting regularly throughout January
Competition Time!
Kare Plus invited St Michaels to join in with another one of their competitions!
So a few of our residents have been very busy during December creating Christmas Gingerbread Houses.
Keep your fingers crossed for St Michaels.. we should find out the winner within the next few days.
Wild Science
What a brilliant afternoon we had yesterday with a visit from Wild Science – look how brave our residents were holding the snake!

Christmas Singalong
On Wednesday our activities team Louisa & Vanessa were busy making room visits, getting our residents into the Christmas spirit ready for a singalong in the afternoon..
A big Thank you to Jon Beetham for making our family Christmas singalong in our chapel such a special occasion.

Farewell Victoria
Today we said a sad farewell to Victoria who is leaving us to move to London where she will be going to University to study Mental Health Nursing
Thank you for all your hard work, you will be missed here at St Michaels and we wish you the best of luck with your studies.
New Years Eve
On New Years Eve we held a party in the garden room – featuring pass the parcel, a special New Year’s Eve game, a buffet, a countdown to new year followed by a singalong to Aud Langs Syne and other songs before watching the fireworks from Sydney … a very busy end to the year!
We would just like to wish you all a very happy and healthy new year from everyone at St Michaels Care!
